Final Fantasy IV

More than 15 years ago, Square Co. shocked the world with his masterpiece Final Fantasy II (which is actually the fourth game of the series, but only the second released in North Americas). For the first time, the console role-players were not given some generic hero and accused of stopping the evil wizard and save the world; place, which were presented to a wide variety of realistic characters who struggled with complex issues of adults like love, hatred, honor, duty, betrayal and redemption. However, this epic saga has been completely Remade in 3D on the DS, and if Cecil, Kain, and Rosa is faced with new or old friends, this is an adventure that you should not miss.
Cecil is a man with a dilemma. Although bound by his duties as captain of Mr Red Wings of Baron to serve their king and country, his conscience is heavy with the sins being committed in their name. The former king and loving care that had to Cecil as a child and taught him the ways of darkness sword has become a sinister and greedy tyrant who covets the sacred crystals in the world for unknown reasons. On his return from a mission to Baron’s friendly neighbor Mysidia, where Cecil and his men were forced to steal one of the common crystals, as thugs, who finally dares to question his motives the king. For his insubordination, Cecil is stripped of his rank and sent a message to the people of northern Fog, where its fate is revealed to him and his way of atonement begins.
Throughout his search, Cecil joined a number of intriguing characters: Kain, his best friend and a Dragoon of considerable skill; Rosa, the love of his lady, who became a white magician who support him in the frontline ; Rydia, a summon capable of calling the legendary Eidolons (refers to summon monsters as in other games) to its aid; Tellah, driven by vengeance that the wise forgotten more than most have learned, and many more. Together, they represent some of the most diverse and thoroughly fleshed out character in the long history of the Final Fantasy series. Standing at the other end of spectrum across a sea of monsters is the sinister Golbez, a larger-than-life brain of evil clad in full body armor as black as night. His lieutenants, four elementary archfiends, are equally memorable, especially the urban Rubicante, which insists heal their wounds before doing battle with you so you can fight it with all your strength.
Golbez and his goons may have the most cards, but that does not mean that Cecil and his friends do not have an ace or two of their matches. Each of the characters that make up his party have a whole class that grow more powerful, because in levels of profit. Each class has its own unique skills, as the Dark Knight of darkness, resulting in a system that is self Amateur twice about the damage becomes the price of HP wield itself, or the sage of remembrance, sheds at random from each other-not high-level spell. Although the kind of specific skills are nothing new in this remake DS now has the power to customize your characters, giving them additional skills called increases. Augments can be found throughout the world, given to you by leaving the party members, or even the theft of some enemies, and they can do all of passively increasing statistics, such as HP and MP for the award the kind of specific skills as a reminder of the dark or normally nonqualifying characters. If you look hard enough, may even be able to learn the skills of elementary archfiends, as the tsunami in Cagnazzo attack.
If you’re willing to put time into experimenting with increases, you will discover a lot of powerful combinations that can only give you the edge you need – and you need all the help you can get because of the difficulty of this iteration of Final Fantasy IV has increased enormously. Most of the heads require very specific strategies for the defeat, fasting and is likely to perish in these meetings several times before it reaches the way to claim victory. Even if you are a seasoned veteran who knows all the tricks, do not expect things to be simple, and some heads have changed enough to throw you off your game, and all of them are much tougher than you remember. At the end of the game, including the monsters found in normal battles at random are sufficiently hard to wipe the floor with a part of superpowered heroes if they are ready.
In addition to the radical plus the ability to customize their part, several other minor adjustments have been playing. The characters in his party now share their thoughts with you on the menu screen, offering personal anecdotes and potentially useful tips on the current situation. An entirely new line with Namingway – a moogle-as Peregrine in the original version was satisfied with the change of name of your characters when asked to – has been added, which Namingway renames himself as he tries out a number of different professions with humor results. Finally, Rydia receives a unique new Eidolon called Whyt that can be completely customized by conversing with Fat Chocobo, it is likely that fans remember as a bank for the extra storage (that service is no longer necessary because the cap issue has been removed). Through Fat Chocobo, you can customize the appearance of Whyt, will be assigned an assortment of attacks, the level of its various statistics to participate in high-touch screen minigames, and even battle your friend incarnations of one- to Whyt – one matches across local DS wireless technology.
However, outside Whyt of minigames, there is not much going on with the touchscreen. When not in battle, that the bottom is occupied by a zone map that automatically fills as you explore dungeons, and it is possible to navigate his party throughout the world by manipulating the pen. In most other times, the touchscreen is nonfunctional. Fortunately, the control knob are very effective, so it is generally best not even to try to mess around with his pencil.
Final Fantasy IV is easily among the best-looking 3D games on the DS. The highly stylized characters are amazingly expressive, the way in which Cecil offspring as he reflects on his guilt to the manner in which Rydia hops up and down and wave their hands to get your attention in a store when you find something that can team. Now that the dungeons are rendered in three dimensions, there is a great feeling of size and depth (especially in the last dungeon) that previously was not there, and makes its journey seems that much more impressive and epic. As part of the new updated graphics, key moments of the game shows off the film Cutscene style, many of whom are accompanied by full voice acting for the characters. Unfortunately, as excited as series fans may finally be listening to Cecil speak, the voice acting is actually the game’s weakest point. Some voices seem completely out of character or introduce unnecessary melodrama.
Although it has been rereleased several times over the years, this full remake of one of the most famous stories in video game history is in many ways more impressive and touching than it was every year, despite lower with irks the voice acting. With a cast of memorable characters and villains, a more accurate and authentic translation, a new ability to customize the system, and some important new story elements that help to explain better the key points of the plot, this is the final version of Final Fantasy IV that everyone If the experience.
